Celine Dion made TV history in America last night when she performed live with Elvis Presley. Technology enabled the Canadian to appear to sing alongside Presley onstage at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood during the American Idol "Idol Gives Back" charity special. The late rocker appeared in hologram form for the breathtaking duet of "If I Can Dream" with Dion, leaving many audience members stunned and convinced they were seeing a ghost.
Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has urged her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy to "be responsible" and publicly acknowledge he is the father of her three week old baby. Brown gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown on April 3 in Santa Monica, California - five months after she ended her six month relationship with the Dreamgirls actor. The singer claims Murphy became aware of her pregnancy while they were still together and was "over the moon." She tells British magazine OK!, "We had talked about having a family and getting married. We started talking about whether we should buy a house together, where we could be alone together." Brown insists Murphy was a loving boyfriend and excited about the baby when she flew to her native England to visit her mother last December, but when she returned Murphy had ended their relationship and was denying paternity of the tot. Brown explains, "I came to see my mom for a few days as I wanted to see her in person. Then I got a flight home, landed and there is a whole sea of photographers. There were people shouting about a Dna test. I was in complete shock. I tried to call Eddie and couldn't get through. Then I got through and he said he would call me back and that was it. He never called back. I literally couldn't understand what was happening." While Brown was flying home to Los Angeles, Murphy appeared on Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard, saying, "I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test." She laments, "I was shocked and then I felt a bit disgusted. I don't feel humiliated. I think the only person who has humiliated themselves is Eddie. If he wants to do a Dna test, then do it. Step up to the plate and be responsible. I have no doubt that this is Eddie's baby. I'm not registering her birth without her dad."

Britney Spears' father has criticized the troubled pop princess' decision to fire her longtime manager Larry Rudolph, after he forced her to go into rehab. Rudolph was fired last week, reportedly because of his intervention after a difficult start to the year, during which Spears partied every night for a month and then shaved her head. Jamie Spears claims Rudolph was chosen by the singer's family to encourage her to seek help at Malibu, California's Promises Clinic in February. He tells PageSix.com, "When Larry Rudolph talked Britney into going into rehab, he was doing what her mother, father and team of professionals with over 100 years of experience knew needed to be done. She was out of control. Larry was the one chosen by the team to roll up his sleeves and deliver the message, to help save her life. The Spears family would like to publicly apologize to Larry for our daughter's statements about him over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, she blames him and her family for where she is at today with her kids and career. Larry has always been there for Britney. For this, we will forever be grateful to him." Spears, in response, issued the following statement, "I am praying for my father. We have never had a good relationship. It's sad that all the men that have been in my life do not know how to accept a real woman's love. I am concentrating on my work and my life right now." A friends tells PageSix Britney was embarrassed to be sent to rehab when she was merely suffering post-partum depression: "(She) had no drugs in her system when she was admitted to Promises - they (tested her) and there was nothing. She was embarrassed she had to go in there when she knew she was suffering from postpartum depression, not a drug or alcohol problem."
Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston 's divorce will become official on April 24 after a California judge ruled that date will end their union. The divorce is listed as "uncontested." Official papers rule that neither Houston nor Brown will receive spousal support, while the property division is listed as "no community property." Houston will have physical and legal custody of the couple's daughter Bobbi Kristina, with dad Brown having a "reasonable right of visitation." The couple was married in July 1992.

Madonna has found an army of unlikely allies as she attempts to avoid the media on a trip back to her adopted baby David's hometown in Malawi - local teenagers. The students hurled stones at international journalists attempting to cover Madonna's visit to Mchinji yesterday morning - in a bid to keep them from ruining a meeting between the pop star and her adopted son's biological father. The teens from the nearby Mchinji Home Of Hope orphanage formed a protective ring around the building where Madonna met with Yohane Banda, and they threw stones at anyone who attempted to get close to the compound. The Home Of Hope orphanage is the place where Madonna first spotted David, who had been placed there by his father after his mother died. Madonna, who was also joined on her trip back to Africa by daughter Lourdes, is paying for a new clinic to be built in the village of Gumulira and is supporting efforts by aid groups to help improve food security and education in Malawi.

Hey Guys , I'm writing to tell you that I have cancelled many of my May and June tour commitments in America . The reason for this , is because my mummy and daddy are very rich , and I have never been in a position where i have actually had to do any hard work before . I thought that being a popstar meant going out getting trashed with famous people and sleeping in all day . The fact that this is not true has come as a huge dissapiontment to me , and as a result I am throwing the towel in .
No but seriously , I have been on tour with this album for a year now , I have fulfilled every commitment up to this point . I am tired , but more than that I don't think I have been giving my best performances recently . I have been getting really drunk because i've been so nervous about doing bad shows , and I don't want people spending money on a going to see a show that isnt the best it could be . I am not falling apart at the seems , I am not suffering with exhaustion , I am not pregnant , and I am not going to rehab . I will be here in America , promoting the album and also starting to write the second album , which I am beyond excited about . The LA and New York shows will still be happening , and I am still playing Coachella and Bonaroo and all the other festivals .
I'd like to apologise to anyone who has bought tickets , but you can get your money back , if you take 'em back to the place you bought them from .
'Me and My Imagination' has just hit all of the UK's music channels, but you can watch Sophie Ellis Bextor 's cutting-edge and brilliantly neon video in all its glory right here. In a video webcast in February 2007, Sophie was asked if Sophie Muller would be directing the video for Me And My Imagination, however Sophie had broken her ankle and was unable to although it seems likely Sophie had been first choice. Nourizadeh Nima filmed the videoclip in West London. Sophie said in an interview that "The video’s kind of like a musical. It’s daylight in the verses and in the chorus it’s night and I’m dancing with neon lights".

Jennifer Lopez has slammed US reports claiming her marriage to third husband Marc Anthony is in jeopardy, branding the allegations "disgusting lies." An article in the new edition of American magazine OK! reports the couple have "called it quits" after a tumultuous few months, in which the "controlling" Anthony has "suffocated" his wife. Quoting a source close to the pair, the article says, "Marc is very machismo. (He) won't let her even do a photo shoot by herself. He is always there watching, waiting." But Lopez denies her marriage is on the rocks and is looking into taking legal action against the publication. Her representative tells the New York Daily News, "(The article is) a disgusting story full of lies. We're consulting lawyers." A friend of the couple adds, "They're inseparable. I don't get a whiff of trouble." The star wed the Latino actor/singer in June 2004, and recently spoke of Anthony as her "perfect match."
Madonna reportedly flew back to Africa with her adopted son David to meet with the boy's biological father last night, according to US news reports. The pop star hopes to spend a few days with Yohane Banda in Malawi and open discussions concerning her plans to adopt another child, according to American publication Life & Style. An insider tells the magazine, "She wants David to have a relationship with his biological father. She's going under the guise of a vacation, but she's not on vacation - she's on a mission." Madonna, who also runs a foundation for abandoned children in Malawi, was harshly criticized when she adopted Banda last October; critics accused her of using her wealth and fame to fast-track the adoption process. The source tells Life & Style that Madonna hopes her trip back to Malawi will help show her critics that the adoption was "an unselfish act of love." The insider adds, "She plans on having David's father be part of the extended family. She wants to show that her adoption was not what it was portrayed as in the media." Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, has confirmed the trip, stating, "She's going to continue her work with the Raising Malawi Orphan Care Initiative, including the building of a children's care center."

Why do people always try and play women off against eachother the whole time ? Yes Amy and I are both english and yes , were both in our early twenties . Why don't they try and crrate a feud between me and James Morrison or Amy and Paulo Nutini ? Or why not create a rivalry between the boys . I think there is something seriously wrong with this part of our culture.

" Why write this , I certainly didn't go into music to compete against other artists , and I very much doubt anyone else does . What I do is , what I do. And what Amy does is what amy does . The two have got fuck all to do with eachother . It's so boring and complete rubbish .

Justin Timberlake "despises" celebrity magazines who follow his personal relationships and turn them into a public soap opera. Timberlake has had two high-profile romances, with singer Britney Spears and actress Cameron Diaz, and hates the way his private life is portrayed in the media. He tells US magazine Details, "I despise what they do. They create soap operas out of people's lives. It's a spin game, and I choose not to take part in it." And Timberlake insists he will never talk publicly about a past girlfriend. He adds, "I would never say anything bad about anyone. I love a lot of those people."
Madonna may be set to star in the last episode of the hit British TV comedy Extrascreated by RickGervais and writing partner Stephen Merchant. The creators plan to end the program's two series run with a star-studded Christmas special this year. A host of A-list stars have appeared in the series, including David Bowie, Robert De Niro, and Chris Martin. Gervais and Merchant want the show to bow out in style with a guest-appearance from Madonna. According to reports, Gervais has been in contact with the Material Girl since they met backstage at the Live8 concert in London in 2005, and a deal is almost complete.
Pop star Ricky Martin is urging gay stars to stop hiding their sexuality - and celebrate it. The singer, who has often been the subject of gossip linked to his sexuality, has applauded Mexican pin-up Christian Chavez for 'coming out of the closet' recently - and insists all gay stars should feel good about telling fans the truth. He says, "Life is too short to live closed up, guarding what you say."
AparentlyBeyonce is hooked on Spanish after re-recording a batch of songs in the language she learned as a child. The singer has recorded six Spanish tunes for the Deluxe Edition of her hit album B'Day, which hits stores this week, and admits she took basic language lessons to master a foreign tongue. She says, "I did grow up in Houston, Texas, so I was around Spanish; I took it at school but I completely forgot it. I had the best coach; I did it phonetically, every sentence I recorded maybe four times." Her Spanish is being praised by language experts and critics alike, who are impressed with her bilingual skills and accent. She says, "That's a great compliment." Now Knowles is hoping to find time to take more Spanish lessons and also learn how to cook. I just realized Beyonce's pulling one of her infamous armpit poses in this pic ;o)
"M by Madonna" the clothing line for H&M has sold more than $15 million since going on sale just over a week ago. The debut has been so successful that the retail chain has just offered Mrs Ritchi a multi-million dollar deal to do a second and third collection for the chain, beginning in late 2007.This year has been quite lucrative for Madonna. In addition to the $8 million she collected from H&M, the Queen of Pop was also paid$15 Million for her recent Japanese commercial. Madonna has spent the last three weeks in a recording studio and has promised her label a new album by November!
