Jordin Sparks Wins American Idol

Jordin Sparks was crowned the new American Idol on the hit Fox TV show last night, beating out fellow contestant Blake Lewis, 25. Lewis and Sparks performed the previous night, with Sparks singing Christina Aguilera's "Stronger" and Lewis belting out Jon Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name." Both singers also performed the custom-made ballad "This Is My Now," with the consensus being that the vocally strong Sparks outdelivered Lewis, whose style is marked by his beatboxing sound effects. The two-hour Wednesday night show, held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, included performances by Gwen Stefani, Bette Midler, Smokey Robinson, Tony Bennett, and former Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, among others.

American Idol 6 - Jordin Sparks - This Is My Now

On the American Idol 6 finale Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks battled it out over the song “This Is My Now”. The song was selected among the 25,000 submissions and almost 50,0000 votes as voted by Idol fans. Blake’s rendition of it was pretty bad, I've never really been a fan of his but Jordin did an amazing job. All of the judges agreed that Jordin was the clear winner of the night. Even Paula. Sorta. “Everyone’s a winner!!!” Watch the American Idol Season 6 Finale tonight.
