Rumors are circulating over whether Madonna is about to embark on a new world tour next year

Madonna is in talks to quit Warner Music and ink a new record contract valued at around $100 million, it has been claimed.

The pop superstar is understood to be nearing the end of her deal with the label which has been her home for almost 25 years.

As previously reported, she has apparently been approached by Live Nation, who are market leaders in music promotion across the globe.

The deal, covering future touring and releases, is said to be worth £50.5 million ($100 million), marginally outstripping Robbie Williams' contract with EMI in 2002.

Madonna is understood to be nearing completion on the follow-up to "Confessions On A Dancefloor", with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake amongst the collaborators.

Don't believe the rumours, Madonna's representative Liz Rosenberg says that despite reports of a snag in the singer's adoption of David Banda, the process is going smoothly.

"None of that stuff is true," Rosenberg told UsMagazine.com in regards to a Reuters report that suggested the adoption might be compromised.

"The adoption process is going along very well and according to proper procedure," she asserted.

Madonna was so impressed with new songwriting partner Justin Timberlake, she has invited the singer to spend the summer with her in London. Timberlake recently spent a week with Madonna working on new tracks for her next album and admits they came up with some gems. He says, "We ended up with five or six really good (songs) - some unfinished, some finished and we're gonna go back in July and work on some more stuff." Timberlake admits he was impressed with the way Madonna works: "Her ethic is kinda infectious in the studio. I was like, 'I'm too slow, I'm too slow...' She's a workhorse and I'm just a fan... who tricked Madonna."

Madonna has found an army of unlikely allies as she attempts to avoid the media on a trip back to her adopted baby David's hometown in Malawi - local teenagers. The students hurled stones at international journalists attempting to cover Madonna's visit to Mchinji yesterday morning - in a bid to keep them from ruining a meeting between the pop star and her adopted son's biological father. The teens from the nearby Mchinji Home Of Hope orphanage formed a protective ring around the building where Madonna met with Yohane Banda, and they threw stones at anyone who attempted to get close to the compound. The Home Of Hope orphanage is the place where Madonna first spotted David, who had been placed there by his father after his mother died. Madonna, who was also joined on her trip back to Africa by daughter Lourdes, is paying for a new clinic to be built in the village of Gumulira and is supporting efforts by aid groups to help improve food security and education in Malawi.

Madonna reportedly flew back to Africa with her adopted son David to meet with the boy's biological father last night, according to US news reports. The pop star hopes to spend a few days with Yohane Banda in Malawi and open discussions concerning her plans to adopt another child, according to American publication Life & Style. An insider tells the magazine, "She wants David to have a relationship with his biological father. She's going under the guise of a vacation, but she's not on vacation - she's on a mission." Madonna, who also runs a foundation for abandoned children in Malawi, was harshly criticized when she adopted Banda last October; critics accused her of using her wealth and fame to fast-track the adoption process. The source tells Life & Style that Madonna hopes her trip back to Malawi will help show her critics that the adoption was "an unselfish act of love." The insider adds, "She plans on having David's father be part of the extended family. She wants to show that her adoption was not what it was portrayed as in the media." Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, has confirmed the trip, stating, "She's going to continue her work with the Raising Malawi Orphan Care Initiative, including the building of a children's care center."

"M by Madonna" the clothing line for H&M has sold more than $15 million since going on sale just over a week ago. The debut has been so successful that the retail chain has just offered Mrs Ritchi a multi-million dollar deal to do a second and third collection for the chain, beginning in late 2007.This year has been quite lucrative for Madonna. In addition to the $8 million she collected from H&M, the Queen of Pop was also paid$15 Million for her recent Japanese commercial. Madonna has spent the last three weeks in a recording studio and has promised her label a new album by November!
