Music: The Spice Girls Are Going On Tour!

The Spice Girls reunited in London this Thursday morning to announce that they're going on a world tour!!

The new Spice Girls tour will be an 11-date, six-continent world tour, beginning December 7 in Los Angeles, and will include stops in New York, Las Vegas, Beijing, Sydney, Madrid, London and Buenos Aires, among other cities. "That's a lot of world, a lot of people and a lot of fun," Geri said.

They plan to sing songs from each of their albums, including the third, 2000's 'Forever,' on which Geri doesn't appear (she left the group in 1998). But she said that won't stop her; Mel B plans to let Geri sing some of her lines. They even have a few songs they're most looking forward to performing. Among them, 'Wannabe' (Mel B's pick), 'Too Much' (Victoria's) -- but Mel C couldn't decide on one. "We've got so many great songs," she said.

Visit TheSpiceGirls.com for your chance to register to buy tickets. They’re gonna be selling like hotcakes. Lucky fans who are randomly selected will be able to buy as many as six tickets, and will be notified no later than Oct. 1. [source]

Music: Geri Halliwell Wants Union Jack Dress Back For Spice Girls Reunion

Geri Halliwell is reportedly desperate to wear her iconic Union Flag dress for the much rumoured Spice Girls reunion later this year.
After wearing it to the 1997 Brit Awards, Geri sold the dress in an auction in 1998 raising £41,000 for charity. However, an inside source has told Britain's the Sun she now wants to buy it back from the auction winner - the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, no matter how much it costs.

The source told the newspaper: “Geri has told the reunion team she wants to wear the dress on stage again. It can’t be a copy, it has to be the real thing. It could cost a bob or two to get back but she wants them to pay whatever it takes.”

“Borrowing it isn’t really an option as it may need some altering. Geri is a bit less curvy than she was in 1997.”

“The girls want their new shows to feel current, to reflect how they’ve all moved on since the band split. But these shows will be on a massive scale, with lots of costume changes. Geri’s dress would fit nicely with a section where they all return to their original look.”

Wow, imagine Mel B in leopardskin, Mel C in a tracksuit, Emma Bunton in cute baby pink and Victoria Beckham in a little black dress. It would be the highlight of the show! [Source]

Gossip: Melanie C. Holding Up Spice Girls Reunion?

Despite various previous statements hinting about a full reunion, Melanie Chisholm has said she doesn’t know whether she’ll rejoin her old Spice Girls bandmates even if they all get back together.

Sporty Spice Melanie told OK magazine recently: “I don’t want to be the spoilsport, no pun intended, but if the other four do it then I think I’ll be in a dilemma.” “I don’t want to be the person that stops it from being the complete set, but in my heart of hearts, it’s not something I want to do.” Despite Victoria Beckham’s rising celebrity star in LA, Melanie has repeatedly been said to be the one holding up the reunion. Their former manager Simon Fuller said recently: “Melanie thinks her solo career is bigger than the band, which is just not the case. She needs to wise up and realise a reunion would be amazing for everybody concerned.”

Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell sparked rumours that they’re starting to record new Spice Girls material after they were spotted excitedly leaving a recording studio together at the end of last week.
