Beyonce's Malaysian Concert Cancelled

Beyoncé's planned concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has been canned amid protests by local Muslim groups, Billboard reports.

The groups are reportedly upset that the singer has refused to obey the country's strict dress code for performers, although the November 1 concert's promoter, Pineapple Concert, did not give a reason for the cancellation in a statement issued Friday (September 28). Female performers are not allowed to show skin from the tops of their chests to their knees.

In August, Gwen Stefani's concert in the country was also preceded by protests for the same reason — but she reluctantly abided by the guidelines, saying in a press conference before the show that she had made a "major sacrifice."

Beyonce Falls on Stage

First Michelle Williams slipped off the stage while marching along to “Soldier” on BET’s 106 and Park in 2005. Then Kelly Rowland dropped like a sack of potatoes from exhaustion onstage in Nigeria earlier this month. And now Beyoncé, the onetime trio’s queen bee, has fallen on her face — literally.

Although she asked the audience not to post the footage online video of the scary-looking plunge already hit the Web.

Insert your “Lose My Breath”/”Survivor”/Destiny Fulfilled joke here.

Music: Beyonce Releases Spanish Language Tracks

Aparently Beyonce is hooked on Spanish after re-recording a batch of songs in the language she learned as a child. The singer has recorded six Spanish tunes for the Deluxe Edition of her hit album B'Day, which hits stores this week, and admits she took basic language lessons to master a foreign tongue. She says, "I did grow up in Houston, Texas, so I was around Spanish; I took it at school but I completely forgot it. I had the best coach; I did it phonetically, every sentence I recorded maybe four times." Her Spanish is being praised by language experts and critics alike, who are impressed with her bilingual skills and accent. She says, "That's a great compliment." Now Knowles is hoping to find time to take more Spanish lessons and also learn how to cook. I just realized Beyonce's pulling one of her infamous armpit poses in this pic ;o)

Check out Beyonce's music video for "Déjà Vu" the lead single from her sophomore album 'B'Day'. The video is directed by Sophie Muller and was shot on various locations in New Orleans, Louisiana.

During the making of the video for "Déjà Vu", Beyoncé recalled being in swamps dodging alligators, snakes and bees.

She revealed that she "decided to go to Louisiana because it has a soul that a studio can't give you. We were in the swamps. Literally, there were alligators, snakes, bees, and wasps. It was 105 degrees. All of that sweat in the video is real. That's not some spritzer. That's real."
